Can someone pass the....mud?

I got a call from the school today. It was Christianna. She asked if I could bring her some clothes...a clean shirt, pants and shoes. She told me she fell in mud but I figured, how bad can it be? So I gathered the necessary things and headed over. When I walked into the office, I so wanted to turn around, go back to the house and grab my camera! But I resisted that urge and we headed to the bathroom. Man, when she took off her shirt, her belly was coated in mud too!

I tried my best to wash it off with wet paper towels and we got her all changed and presentable. I was glad that she didn't have her jacket on correctly or I would have been washing that too.
For my lack of camera and a brain, I saved her clothes in a little pile for after school and made her put them on for a picture. I just couldn't miss out on this one!
By the way, the mud never came out of her white shirt entirely. We'll count that as a loss. But, I don't know...I think it was worth it!!

It's a BOY!!!

So, how do the Fairall's announce the sex of the new baby?
With food - of course!!
Tonight we were having breakfast for dinner and I thought - hmmm, blue pancakes will be GREAT!

I then set up the table like this:
Victoria was hoping for a boy & Christianna was hoping for a girl and I decorated each plate accordingly.
I did add a secret message under each plate though.

Then we had Christianna check out under her plate first & Victoria apparently reads quite well upside down. She was already excited.
Then she revealed her message and practically threw hew plate through the window! Just kidding!!

For about 5 minutes Christianna just scowled at Victoria since
she turned out to be right. That was funny.
So after all the fun, we settled in to eat some pancakes. I even made blueberry syrup - YUMMERS.
(We had about 5-8 minutes to eat dinner since Chris got home late from work and we had to head right over to the church for mutual.)
