Boy, has this been a long time coming!! For weeks, MONTHS even, these tickets have been sitting here on our fridge. Lonely....they were so lonely. They so wanted to see the light of day - the lights of Capital Theater! They finally had their chance. Sunday, May 3rd we took them off and placed them in a very secure location in my cute purse. We also got ready for the performance. Christianna had been planning her outfit for a couple weeks now.
In true witchy style, we headed out. Chris even wore a smashing green tie! Way to "Defy Gravity" dear!
We got there with plenty of time to spare. (By the way...aren't we such a cute family?) So we got some pictures outside as we waited....

...and waited...
Until next time...oh, and there
....AND WAITED!!!
Let me tell you, it was very worth the wait! The girls LOVED it, Chris LOVED it, and I thought it was just as fabulous as when I saw it in Chicago last summer!!! At times I could hear the girls singing the songs, I was also guilty of that one! Chris isn't much of a singer...but he sure was tapping his feet and hands away and many times laughter escaped his mouth! (Yes, my cackling was also heard for rows around us.) I love the theater!
After the final curtain fell, we eventually made our way out to the alley. (Sounds kinda creepy, doesn't it? "We headed out to the ally...dun, dun, duuuun.") It wasn't at all creepy, as far as alley's go since it was about 3:30. We got a tip from our neighbor that if you hang out long enough, you may see and even get autographs of some of the performers. Thanks Diane!!
So, we waited.....again.
Can I tell you how excited they were to stand in an alley by the stage door? SERIOUSLY, they were super excited! They really wanted to see Elphaba - but with a show in a couple hours and much green makeup to worry about, she never came out.....but - Galinda DID!!! (That's Glinda for you Wizard of Oz fans.) So here is a picture with her.
They ended up with a lot of signatures on their programs. They were so excited about it that they brought them to school the next day to tell their classes all about it!
Until next time...oh, and there
DEFINITELY WILL BE A NEXT TIME...
Keep defying gravity!

I fully intend to go and see this play . . . sometime, somewhere it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine!
