May the Festivities Begin!

Today marks the beginning of the Spring Break for the girls. Today turned out to be a busy one! We started off our morning with a little egg hunt here at the house.

I love it! There is an egg right behind them - eye level even...see? (To our left of Victoria's head.)

At 3:00 later that afternoon, we headed over to the Tabish's Egg Hunt Extravaganza! We were so glad that they invited us again this year! Thanks Liz. Before the hunt even began, the kids were having fun. At one point I turned around to find them messing over by the flagpole. Someone had attached a garbage can lid to it and they were trying to hoist Simon up the flagpole!

They decided that he was way too heavy, so he ran off to get his sister, Ivy...

Yeah....she DID NOT like it one bit! (The poor dear was crying!)

Then came the most anticipated event...the HUNT. Liz did a great job of separating age levels and had hid 1200 eggs. I am so not kidding about that number! I seriously think there were much more than 20 kids there! I was so glad that we brought their baskets & not a bag...it surely saved us bringing home an entire treasure chest of sweet booty!

Liz - laying out the "RULES." We have all learned in our years of knowing her - YOU LISTEN, YOU DO or YOU'RE DONE!

Just like her Mom here - always tying to out-do the boys! (And not an egg dropped!)
Grateful for the small baskets! She had so many that they kept falling out. She was actually pretty good about it. I told her that I thought she was done for today and she brought her basket over to where Chris was and came back to try to find the golden egg...without complaint!
Victoria found one of the golden eggs. The winner received a special prize. She chose the gumball dispenser - still not sure why - she isn't even allowed to chew gum much!

Chris was already raiding their goodies! Couldn't even wait until we were home and away from witnesses. Classic: stealing candy from a baby! He apparently found a piece of bubble gum - he was VERY excited!

That is awesome!! It looks like a lot of fun, even with the candy thief. I love the photo of Victoria racing the boy though, classic Lyndaker blood runs through that girl! (raise the roof)
